        Internal Complaints Committee(ICC)

About Internal Complaint Committee: The Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) is a statutory body constituted in compliance with the provisions of the Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013.

The Act, along with its rules, is collectively referred to as the POSH Law. The POSH Act builds upon the Vishaka Guidelines laid down by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in 1997. As per the provisions of the Act, every institution/organization employing more than ten employees is mandated to establish an Internal Complaints Committee to ensure a safe, secure, and conducive working and learning environment, free from sexual harassment and gender-based discrimination. The Act is applicable to women working in private, government, and informal sectors.

This committee has been constituted in accordance with the AICTE Regulations, 2016, and relevant government guidelines. Accordingly, BBDITM, Lucknow has established the Internal Complaints Committee (ICC) at the institute level.
