The Department of Management, in collaboration with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), hosted an interactive expert talk delivered by Dr. Ram Kumar C, on February 25, 2026. The session provided students and faculty with deep insights into Technology, Manufacturing, and Innovation Readiness Levels (TRL, MRL, and IRL), alongside practical strategies for intellectual property (IP) commercialization and technology transfer. Ultimately, the event bridged the gap between research and industry, enhancing participants’ understanding of innovation management and the real-world application of technological advancements.

Summary of the Event:
The Department of Management, Babu Banarasi Das Institute of Technology and Management, in association with the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC), organized a virtual expert talk on Technology Readiness Level (TRL), MRL, IRL, IP Commercialization, and Technology Transfer on 25th February 2026 at 10:00 AM onwards.
The session was delivered by Dr. Ram Kumar C, who shared valuable insights into the different stages of technology readiness and their role in innovation and product development. He elaborated on Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) and Innovation Readiness Level (IRL), along with strategies for intellectual property (IP) commercialization and effective technology transfer.
The event witnessed active participation from management faculty members, B.Tech, and MBA students, who engaged actively throughout the session. The talk also included real-world examples and an interactive discussion, enabling participants to better understand how to transform ideas into market-ready technologies.
