1. Brief Description

Binary Brains successfully organized the “Bit by Bit Challenge”, an exciting Data Structures and Algorithms (DSA) competition exclusively designed for 3rd-year students of BBDITM. The competition aimed to test and enhance students’ problem-solving abilities by presenting them with four challenging coding problems on HackerRank.

With prizes worth up to ₹5000, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation from aspiring coders who were eager to demonstrate their technical expertise and competitive programming skills.

7. Summary of the Event

➢ Introduction

The Bit by Bit Challenge commenced at 2:00 PM with a brief introduction by Rishit Mishra and Harsh Mishra. They motivated the participants and shared valuable insights on effective problem-solving techniques and competitive programming strategies.

➢ Competition Structure

The competition consisted of four DSA problems of varying difficulty levels. Participants were required to design and implement optimal solutions within a 2-hour timeframe on the HackerRank platform. The questions were thoughtfully curated by Harsh Sharma and Shreya Singh, who also configured the contest environment.

Participants were allowed to use either their personal laptops or the systems available in the laboratory, ensuring flexibility and convenience.

➢ Participation and Engagement

The event witnessed the active participation of approximately 30 students, who showcased strong logical thinking, coding efficiency, and debugging skills. The competitive environment was filled with enthusiasm as students worked diligently to solve problems with accuracy and speed.

➢ Prizes and Certifications

To recognize and appreciate the efforts of participants, prizes were awarded to the top performers as follows:

  • 1st Prize: Headphone + Certificate
  • 2nd Prize: Keyboard & Mouse Combo + Certificate
  • 3rd Prize: Pendrive + Certificate

In addition, all participants were awarded a Certificate of Participation as a token of appreciation for their dedication and enthusiasm.

8. Attendance of Participants

Approximately 30 students attended and actively participated in the competition, demonstrating strong enthusiasm and commitment throughout the event.


9. Feedback Report

The feedback from participants was overwhelmingly positive. Students appreciated the level of challenge presented by the problems and found the competition highly beneficial for their placement preparation. The structured format and competitive environment encouraged critical thinking and enhanced problem-solving skills.

Several participants suggested organizing more such competitions with higher difficulty levels and real-world problem statements. The event concluded successfully, leaving students motivated and eager to take part in future coding challenges under the Binary Brains initiative.
